What is Accident Protection?

Last updated Jan 31, 2025

Accident Protection is designed to cover damage caused by accidental handling of your device. This means that if you drop your phone, crack your screen, spill liquid on it, or cause any other physical damage unintentionally, the plan will cover the repair or replacement.

You should keep in mind that there’s a service fee for repair claims. After your claim is accepted, you’ll need to pay with a valid credit or debit card before service or reimbursement is provided. The fee amount will be based on your smartphone’s characteristics (Apple, Android, or Foldable) and type of damage. For complete details, see ourTerms and Conditions.

What Does Accident Protection Cover?

Drops and Falls

  • Cracked or shattered screens
  • Internal component damage from impact

Liquid Damage

  • Water or beverage spills
  • Full submersion in water

Impact and Physical Damage

  • Damage caused by accidental bumps or knocks
  • Structural damage from sudden force

Unlike Smart Protection, Accident Protection does NOT cover mechanical or electrical failures—it only applies to physical damage caused by accidents. The plan does not cover theft, loss, intentional damage, normal wear and tear or unauthorized repairs. For full exclusions, see our Terms and Conditions.

Who Should Get Accident Protection?

  • People who tend to drop their phones often
  • Users working in active environments where accidental damage is common
  • Anyone who wants protection against screen cracks and liquid damage, but is not concerned about internal failures
